Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Fortepiano, we understand that schedules change. The following policy applies to all grand piano practice session bookings made through this platform.

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the session: A 50% refund of the booking amount will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Cancellation within 48 hours of the session: No refund will be issued. The booking amount is non-refundable.

To request a cancellation, please contact us at admin@fortepiano.in with your booking details and Razorpay payment ID. Cancellation requests are processed only via email and must be received before the 48-hour window.

In the event that Fortepiano cancels or reschedules a session due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued or an alternative slot will be offered at no additional charge.

Refunds are credited back to the original payment instrument (UPI, card, net banking, etc.) used at the time of booking. Fortepiano does not issue cash refunds.

Terms & Conditions

By completing a booking through this platform, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with payment.

Eligibility: Bookings are available exclusively to currently enrolled Fortepiano students. The student name selected at the time of booking must match the attending student. Bookings made for non-enrolled individuals will be cancelled without refund.

Session structure: Each slot is 30 minutes in duration. A maximum of 2 consecutive slots may be booked per transaction, for a total practice time of up to 60 minutes. Sessions are for solo practice only and are not supervised instruction.

Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time. Late arrival does not entitle the student to additional time beyond the booked slot. No compensation is provided for time lost due to late arrival.

Studio conduct: Students must treat the instrument and studio space with care. Any damage to the piano or studio caused by misuse may be charged to the student's account.

Payment: All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Fortepiano does not store card or payment details. By completing payment, you confirm that the booking details are accurate.

Modification: Booked slots cannot be transferred to another student or rescheduled through this platform. For special circumstances, contact us at admin@fortepiano.in at least 48 hours in advance.

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Privacy Policy

Fortepiano ("we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our students and their families. This policy describes what information we collect and how it is used.

Information we collect: When you make a booking, we collect the student's name, the selected date and time slot, and transaction details provided by Razorpay (including the Razorpay Order ID and Payment ID). We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or payment card details through this platform.

How we use your information: Booking data is used solely to confirm and manage your session reservation. Payment IDs are retained for reconciliation and refund processing purposes. We do not use this data for marketing purposes.

Data storage: Booking records are stored securely in a private Google Sheet accessible only to authorised Fortepiano staff. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties except as required to process payments (Razorpay) or as required by law.

Third-party payment processor: Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your payment information is handled directly by Razorpay and is subject to their privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.

Your rights: You may request access to or deletion of your booking data by contacting us at admin@fortepiano.in. We will respond within 7 business days.

Shipping Policy

Fortepiano provides in-studio music practice sessions and does not sell or ship any physical goods through this platform.

All bookings made on this website are for in-person studio sessions at our Bangalore location. There is no delivery, shipment, or physical fulfilment involved in any transaction.

Upon successful payment, a booking confirmation is recorded in our system. No physical confirmation document is mailed or couriered. If you require a written confirmation, please contact us at admin@fortepiano.in with your Razorpay Payment ID.
